I completed a BSc (110 cum Laude/110) in Statistical Sciences in 2009 at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy) and a two-years MSc in Biostatistics (110 cum Laude/110) in 2012 at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy).

I have been a visiting MSc student at the Gazi Universitesi of Ankara (Turkey) in 2011 and at the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute (UK) in 2012.

In November 2012 I joined the Evidence Based Practice Unit (EBPU) at The Anna Freud Centre as Statistician. In April 2014 I was appointed as Research Statistician at UCL in the Institute for Global Health. Whilst working, I have been conducting a part-time PhD in Statistics and Epidemiology, started in September 2014 with expected completion in May 2020.

Research Groups
Research Summary

My research focuses on different aspects related to the ageing of people with HIV, including multi-morbidity, cognitive problems and sleep. 

I have been the primary statistician for the EU7-FP funded COmorBidity in Relation to AIDS’ (COBRA) collaboration and been involved in several projects within the Pharmacokinetic and Clinical Observations in People Over Fifty (POPPY) study. Since June 2017 I have been the primary statistician for the POPPY-Sleep sub study.

I collaborate closely with clinicians, epidemiologist and researchers from other institutions in the UK, Netherlands, Italy and USA.

Teaching Summary

I lecture and lead small group work sessions for the Doctor as Data Scientist module in the first and second year of the MBBS degree and for the 5-day annual short course "Methodological and Statistical Issues in HIV Research", organised by my UCL Research Department.
