David is a research fellow at the Institute of Global Health working at the Bloodborne viruses (BBVs) and STIs Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) on improving the care and management of people with BBVs and STIs. David previously worked at IHI with the ECHILD group on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on vulnerable children and young people. Prior to joining UCL, David completed his PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in November 2020 which used linked demographic surveillance and health facility data to investigate patient loss to follow-up in an HIV treatment program in South Africa. Before this, David worked as an epidemiologist with Medecins Sans Frontieres, first in Niger and then in Eswatini.
