Biography

Danielle completed an undergraduate degree and an MA in Philosophy at the University of Leeds (1997-2002) before working for several years in a small unit carrying out and supporting pedagogical research of philosophy in UK higher education.  She then completed an MSc in Psychology at the University of Glasgow (2011-2012), and joined UCL in 2012 to work on the CORE study.  Danielle passed her PhD viva in 2017.

Research Summary

Danielle is currently a senior research fellow in the NIHR ARC (North Thames).  Her work focuses on using mixed methods to evaluate the implementation of complex health services and interventions.  Her previous work focussed on mental health services and interventions, particularly acute mental health services such as Crisis Resolution Teams and Acute Day Units. 

Her PhD looked at the wellbeing of those working in mental health, and she has a particular interest in mental health in non-clinical populations, e.g. in the workplace, education settings, and in the community.


Teaching Summary

Danielle contributes to teaching on the Division of Psychiatry's MSc in Mental Health Sciences Research.  She has contributed to sessions on systematic reviews, statistics, qualitative research, and mental health services research, as well as being a personal tutor and study group lead.  Danielle is willing to supervise MSc dissertation projects on various topics, including ACT, mindfulness, acute mental health services, and wellbeing in workplace contexts.
