Since graduating from Oxford University with a Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry in 2007, I have continued my scientific training by completing a PhD in Pathology at Imperial College London, investigating the role of regulatory T cells during bacterial sepsis.
I have gained early post-doctoral experience in the Dept. Infectious Diseases and Immunity at Imperial College London, examining the immune response to pulmonary bacterial infection, utilising both in vitro and in vivo models.
Currently, I am a post-doctoral Research Associate based in the Centre for Inflammation and Tissue Repair (CITR) at UCL, working in the Leukocyte Trafficking group headed by Prof. Joanna Porter.
I am currently researching the pathogenic mechanisms behind the Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD) and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) with a focus on platelets and neutrophils. This research continues to extend my knowledge of pulmonary inflammation, fibrosis and wound healing processes using both animal disease models and clinical samples.
