I am an experimental psycholinguist based at the Institute for Multimodal Communication in the Experimental Psychology research department at University College London.

My research focuses upon exploring various aspects of language representations and processes through behavioural experimentation, computational/statistical modelling, neuroimaging and TMS, especially concerning lexical-semantic representations and processes, and their relation to other aspects of perception and cognition, in signed and spoken languages. Most recently I have been concerned with how different means of communicative expression (including but not limited to language) are combined in understanding the message someone else is trying to express.
