I am a Lecturer bioinformatics. My focus is in protein sequence analysis and how it relates to protein domains families, protein function and protein structure. My work focuses on applications of machine learning to problems in the analysis of proteins and protein function. I also have and interest in ancient protein evolution and the relationship of RNA expression and protein function.

I currently teach transcriptomics and bioinformatics in the Computer Science and Biochemsitry departments.
