Biography
I have joined Meta-Analysis Group as a Research Fellow in 2019 after working for a number of years conducting evidence synthesis projects on women’s health-related topic. After graduating with MSc in Biology, I worked for a HEOR consultancy conducting evidence synthesis before moving to academia. My PhD, awarded in 2018 (Queen Mary University of London) focused on conduct of evidence synthesis and application of meta-analysis using individual participant data to research questions on the effect of diet and physical activity in pregnancy.
Research Themes
Research Summary
My research interests revolve around the conduct of evidence synthesis, assessment of the certainty of evidence and use of evidence in clinical practice guidelines. I am particularly interested in how we can optimise evidence synthesis using aggregate data, and the application of advanced methods of evidence synthesis such as meta-analysis using individual participant data (IPD). I mostly work with evidence from randomised controlled trials and issues around the synthesis of these; however, I am also interested in secondary use of IPD from RCTs employing methods allowing to draw causal inferences from observational data. Another strain of my research interest are issues with research practices and research integrity in evidence synthesis.
Teaching Summary

I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, contribute to teaching on 'systematic review and meta-analysis methods' run by the Meta-Analysis Group and act as a research supervisor of MSc projects.
