BIO

Ellie is a research fellow at the Global Disability Innovation Hub and is a social scientist with a background in Global Health. She has worked in disability-inclusive international development research for 15 years on research projects across Africa and Asia. In 2018, Ellie was awarded an honorary research associate position at UCL, and as a former research consultant she led evaluations for organisations including the DEC, Red Cross, Humanity and Inclusion, and VSO.

 

Ellie is completing her PhD at UCL – a comparative analysis of the COVID-19 and Ebola health restrictions for people with disabilities in Liberia. Her PhD was funded by the ESRC through the UBEL doctoral training partnership. Prior to her PhD, Ellie received an MSc in Global Health and Development at UCL.
