Biography
Alongside his role at UCL, James is the co-director of the Black Press Research Collective, based at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Prior to joining UCL, West was a Lecturer in American History at the University of York. He has previously worked at Northumbria University, Oxford University, and the University of Birmingham. He has also worked as a visiting Fulbright professor at Elon University in North Carolina.
