I gained a BSc degree in Statistics from the Athens University ofEconomics and Business (AUEB) and an MSc degree in Statistics from LancasterUniversity (funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council). I joined the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health in 2008 with a primary scope to develop a wide range of short statistics courses open to anyone interested in learning new statistical skills. Soon after, the Centre for Applied StatisticsCourses was born. In August 2014, I was promoted to Senior Teaching Fellow after 6 years of continuous pedagogical progress in the field of statistics. Since early2020 I have been co-directing CASC along with the Founder of CASC, ProfessorAngie Wade.

My research interests lie in the ways statistical science can enrich all
aspects of life and ways of delivering its various aspects and interpretations
to non-statistically orientated audiences.
Throughout my time at UCL I have collaborated with several colleagues and students to publish papers in various journals. I have also contributed in teaching-statistics conferences, journals and books.
My PhD studies were focused on multivariate analysis and ways multidimensional outcomes can be better explored. I specifically focused on the use of copula models and the advantages they can provide in the better understanding of data in paediatrics.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching statistics and making the statistical
science understandable to all - along with my colleagues at the Centre for
Applied Statistics Courses (CASC) we strive to meet this goal via short
statistical courses on a variety of topics. We use lay language with minimal
statistical terminology/equations and plenty of practical exercises to put
theory into practice.
Since I joined GOS ICH I have led numerous short statistics courses and have also co-led MSc modules for several MSc running at UCL, as seen below:
Short Statistics Courses:
Introduction to Research Methods and Statistics
Introduction to Logistic Regression
Sample size estimation and power calculations
Introduction to R
Introduction to SPSS
Introduction to Stata
Overview of Regressions with R
Introduction to Dealing with Missing Data

ANOVA/GLMs in SPSS
