Biography
Emla Fitzsimons is a Professor of Economics at UCL. Since 2014 she has been the Principal Investigator of the Millennium Cohort Study, a major nationally representative longitudinal study following over 19,000 children born at the turn of the millennium. Her research is focused on understanding how experiences and behaviours in early life influence human development, particularly in the domains of cognition and mental health. Emla is a Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
