Emily joined University College London in 2022. Prior to joining UCL, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Durham University, UmeƄ University, and Swansea University, where she also completed her PhD. Emily's doctoral thesis comprised a series of realist evaluations of multi-component interventions with disengaged students and young people who were outside of education and employment. During her time at Durham, Emily worked on a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional project that examined the impact of integrated care systems on the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Her research interests include disadvantaged populations, inequalities, collaborative and integrated working, realist evaluation and synthesis. She is currently working alongside Professor Sophie Park and colleagues at Queen Mary University of London and the University of Oxford to conduct a realist synthesis exploring collaborative and integrated working between Community Pharmacy and General Practice.
