Biography

Born in the village of Ancient Korinth, Greece, son of Ms Georgia Kephala and Mr Stavros Belitsis. 

Completed Gymnasium and Highschool in Korinth, Greece. 

Attended Semmelweis Medical School in Budapest Hungary. 

At the same period he was attending the cardiac surgery operating room in every opportunity the studies curriculum allowed (Professor Dr Ferenc Horkay).

Dedicating the summer school breaks to volunteering/assisting in Cardiac Surgery (and paediatric cardiac surgery), in the National Cardiology institute in Budapest. 

Before graduation, authored and edited 3 textbooks/study companions for medical students in the subjects of Surgical Anatomy, Neurology and Neuroanatomy. The latter was done after strong encouragment by his peers. 

Dr.med (M.D.) on 2009. 

Fist non-Hungarian to enter the Hungarian Cardiac Surgery training program in 2009. 

Accepted for 1 year fellowship in the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospital in July 2010. 

Since then in UK.
