Lecturing on the PGCE (primary), on the Master’s in Education and am joint lead for the master’s module: Perspectives on Literacy Learning. I represent DLL on the Athena Swan Silver Committee and have recently started to develop as doctoral supervisor.

I have worked in schools in Scotland and Australia as a primary teacher, EAL teacher and came to UCL, IOE having studied for a post grad in Sydney. I subsequently have completed a Masters in Education at UCL, IOE and a Doctorate at UCL, IOE.

I have a particular interest in teaching English, am a member of the English Association and sit on the editorial board of English 4-11. My recent research has been into Initial Teacher Education. I am also a member of The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Pedagogy.
