Biography
Following the completion of my masters in public health in 2013 I spent almost 8 years at Public Health England/The UK Health Security Agency. Whilst there I worked on the surveillance of blood borne viruses (BBVs) and more recently on the COVID-19 pandemic response. During my time within the BBV team, I was the lead scientist for a data linkage project that aimed to establish methodologies to monitor patient movement through care and outcomes. I used the publications from this project to complete a retrospective PhD by publication in 2021.
Research Summary
I am working on a Nuffield Foundation funded project to better understand the health needs of mothers who are involved in public family court proceedings. We will link public family court data to national health data in order to explore the potential for healthcare services to reduce the chances of mothers or children becoming involved in care proceedings and improve their health and welfare outcomes.
