Biography

George Zervas is a Professor of Optical Networked Systems. He has made significant contributions to optical switching, networking and architectures of data centers and telecommunication networks. 


He is the author and co-author of over 230international peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and received best paperawards. He has also given over 30 invited talks at several internationalconferences. George has been involved in several EC, EPSRCand industrial funded projects as principal and co- investigator. He has beenacting as a TPC member and chair on international conferences such as OFC, ICC, Globecom,ONDM, ACP, among others. He is associate editor of IEEE Networking Letters andhas been serving as guest associate editor on IEEE JOCN. Dr. Zervas has beeninvolved in Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and Open Grid Forum (OGF)standardization fora. He has been serving as expert reviewer on various funding bodies.
