Before joining UCL as a Research Associate, I was appointed Research and Development Coordinator in psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London. I completed my PhD in Psychology at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN) in 2017. During my time at ICN I was also seconded as a Postgraduate Fellow to the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, where I published a briefing on Age-Friendly Cities.

Research Summary

I currently work on a multidisciplinary project, Complex Urban Systems for Sustainability and Health (CUSSH), launched in 2018. The project uses participatory system dynamics to model the interrelationships between population health and the environment in partner cities including London, Rennes, Nairobi, Kisumu, Beijing and Ningbo. My role involves integrating this approach with insights, theories and frameworks about behaviour change.

Before joining CUSSH, my research at UCL focused on developing new methods to study the dynamics and downstream effects of mimicking body movements in face-to-face conversations. Our approaches included motion tracking, virtual reality and wavelet analysis.
