Hannah is a part-time PhD student with the Psychology and Human Development Department (IOE) and part of the Child Development and Learning Difficulties Lab. Hannah’s background is in psychology and special education needs, having previously worked as an Honorary Assistant Psychologist and Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo. Hannah is currently a Senior Inclusion Advisor supporting schools with developing their inclusive practice as well as reducing barriers in education for children with additional needs.
Hannah’s current research focuses on parental involvement interventions and their impact on the outcomes of students with special educational needs. She has recently conducted a systematic review on parental involvement interventions for parents of children with special educational needs. Her research will explore parent and teacher expectations as well as the development of a parental involvement intervention. Hannah hopes that her research will contribute to the development of home-school partnerships that support the holistic development of children with special educational needs.
