Idil Cambazoglu is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Education, University College London. Her doctoral research examines elite-school boys’ online and offline performances and cultures of masculinities and masculine bodies, identities, and objects in Turkey through semi-structured interviews and visual digital methods and methodologies. Idil has an MA in Sociology with a specialization in gender, politics and sexuality from EHESS Paris. Her research interests are masculinities, gender/sex/sexualities, online/offline youth culture(s), (elite-)schooling and network(s). She works in the intersection of sociology of gender, education, and youth with a particular focus on global/local and online/offline masculinities and masculine identities.
