I am currently working in UCLIC on the CHI+MED project. I am investigating ways to improve the safety of interactive medical devices. My research is focused on understanding errors that occur when using devices such as infusion pumps and developing methods to evaluate usability in this context. I’ve also been involved in researching digital games with respect to considering how learning and involvement come together in practice. In particular, I’m interested in exploring the breakdowns and breakthroughs players encounter during play and the strategies they adopt in the process.
