Ilias is full time Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Enterprise Management at UCL

Since joining UCL in 2017 as a Research Fellow, I have made significant contributions to the nexus of engineering management and project studies through my research, teaching and enterprise activities. A civil engineer by trade, I have worked in the built environment sector for more than 10 years in project management and technology innovation functions, including securing two Policy Fellowships funded by Research England, the Department for Business, Energy and the Industrial Strategy and the Capabilities in Academic-Policy Engagement (CAPE) project.

My research has been sponsored by the Association for Project Management (APM), BEIS, CAPE, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the International Construction Project Management Association, Research England, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and private firms.

I have received recognition for my work from the engineering and project management communities, e.g., received three awards from the Project Management Journal and the Association for Project Management (most cited article of the year award, 2020; most downloaded article of the year award, 2020; research paper of the year award, 2021). My work has received recognition by the Permanent Under-Secretary of State, for my contributions to the Industrial Strategy programme.

Member of the Association of Project Management (Membership number - P0345743)

Second supervisor to 5 PhD students.
