Research Summary

The fundamental question that drives me is 'when and why do sensory information and perceptual experience diverge?'. I am interested in how perception is affected by the world around us, and in how different sensory systems adapt, adjust, and integrate across the course of development.

I currently
investigate the development of visuomotor skills into adulthood, using MRI, behavioural psychophysics, and virtual reality. I have also recently begun to research parallels between cognitive and visuomotor decision-making.

I have previously worked on the effects of social context on visual perception, the origins of differences in language representation across development, and on the functional and structural mapping of visual cortex using high-field MRI.
