Biography

Currently a Chartered Psychologist working as a Research Co-ordinator at UCL's Insititute for Women's Health. Previously spent 10 years in private clinical hypontherapy practice. PhD in Psychology (City University, 2011) on the psychological aspects of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), MSc Health Psychology (University of Westminster, 2004), and BA Social Psychology (University of Sussex, 1998).

Research Summary

Main interest: polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Have published several papers on the biological and psychological apsects of PCOS since 2010 with Mr Paul Hardiman. Have also published on other aspects of women's health, men's health, and uveitis. One of my interests is questionnaire development. Since 2013 our PCOS research has been guided by input from the PCOS Research Panel, a PCOS patient group.

 

 

Teaching Summary

Tutor & honorary lecturer (p/t) in research methods and statistics for MSc Reproductive Health (2010 - present). Previously tutored in Advanced Research Methods at University of Westminster (2004 - 2011). Also tutored on various A-level and undergraduate psychology modules since 2000, and been an examiner for AQA (2002-4).
