Biography

Dr Jinke Chang's extensive expertise in both Medical and Mechanical Science and Engineering is centred around his specific interests in biomaterials, nanomaterials, advanced manufacturing, and AI technology. His research endeavours have extensively employed advanced manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing, cell printing, electrospinning, and photolithography, to design and construct functional materials for biomedical and bioengineering applications. His pioneering work in artificial cochlea has contributed to the development of advanced self-powered hearing implants based on piezoelectric materials.

Dr Chang closely collaborates with material scientists, clinical surgeons, and industrial experts to develop a range of advanced implants for medical interventions, including cochlear implants, tracheal implants, cardiovascular implants, and bone scaffolds. His research outcomes have been published in over 15 peer-reviewed papers in top-quality journals.
