Biography

Being awarded both Bachelor of Clinical Medicine and Master of Surgery by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2015 and 2018 respectively. Obtained Clinical Doctor's Certificate and Passed Doctor's Standardised Practice Training by the end of postgraduate study. Specialised in Orthopedics.

Currently studying at the UCL for PhD Degree in Surgery and Interventional Science. Supervised by Prof Wenhui Song. Highly enthusiastic about developing advanced biomaterials for bone regeneration and revealing the in-depth biomolecular knowledge behind them. Prospective graduate by Dec 2023.

Working as a part-time Research Assistant for Prof Massimiliano Cerletti at the UCL Research Department for Surgical Biotechnology.

Research Themes
Research Summary
Working on nanohydroxyapatite liquid crystals and collagen-based bioinks for bone regeneration. Exploring techniques via particle self-assembly and 3D printing to induce human bone marrow-derived stem cells' directional mineralisation in vitro, which can be used as clues for scaffolding biometric bone with nano-scale anisotropic structures.

Supervised several MSc and BSc students' projects, which focused on nanohydroxyapatite, bone regeneration, stem cells, 3D printing, and bioinformatics,
