Biography
Being awarded both Bachelor of Clinical Medicine and Master of Surgery by the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2015 and 2018 respectively. Obtained Clinical Doctor's Certificate and Passed Doctor's Standardised Practice Training by the end of postgraduate study. Specialised in Orthopedics.
Currently studying at the UCL for PhD Degree in Surgery and Interventional Science. Supervised by Prof Wenhui Song. Interested in developing advanced biomaterials for bone regeneration and revealing the in-depth biomolecular knowledge behind them.
Working as a part-time Research Assistant for gene therapy at the UCL Research Department for Surgical Biotechnology.
Research Themes


Research Summary
Working on 1) molecular mechanism of osteogenesis on nanohydroxyapatite and collagen liquid crystals and 2) bioink 3D printing. Exploring techniques via particle self-assembly and 3D printing to induce human bone marrow-derived stem cells' directional mineralisation in vitro, which can be used as clues for scaffolding biometric bone with nano-scale anisotropic structures.

Supervised several MSc and BSc students' projects, which focused on nanohydroxyapatite, bone regeneration, stem cells, 3D printing, and bioinformatics,
