Biography
I am a lecturer in Secondary ITE in Science specialising in Physics. Prior to working at the IOE I was a teacher for 10 years in a London school. I was a subject mentor for 7 years working with trainees on a range of teacher training routes. I completed the MA in Science Education in 2015.
Research Summary
I am currently studying for a PhD focussed on students' self-efficacy beliefs. Using Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory, I am interested in exploring the role of social and material resources on learner agency.
Teaching Summary
As well as teaching on the Science PGCE, I also teach and supervise on the MA Education (Science) route and I am a module leader for the UG Physics Education module, PHAS0039 for third and fourth year UCL Physics students.
