Research Summary
PhD Research Project: Terahertz Wireless Network using Radio-Over-Fibre Techniques

Recent progress in terahertz wireless communication techniques demonstrates that a hundred gigabits per second connection wirelessly may provide a potential satisfactory solution for the future wireless network. However, the focus of those research mainly centred on realising point to point transmission under laboratory conditions. The research goal of this project is to examine the possibility and the requirements for using terahertz wireless technology in indoor wireless access. A feasible terahertz network architecture will be proposed and evaluated to support the operation of a terahertz wireless network in the indoor wireless scenario.
