Biography
Professor Hadgraft has been elected to Fellowships of the Royal Society of Chemistry, The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, The Controlled Release Society and The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is on the scientific advisory boards of a number of pharmaceutical companies. Over the years he has contributed to over 500 publications and serves on several of editorial boards of pharmaceutical science journals. He has given numerous plenary lectures in Europe, the US, South America, South Africa, Japan and Australasia.
Research Summary
Major research interests are in the application of physical chemistry to drug delivery, with special reference to the skin. The research group uses a range of biophysical techniques to probe the mechanisms of skin penetration and its modulation.
Research specialties: drug delivery, especially transdermal and dermal
Other specialties: he acts as an expert witness in litigation concerning dermal and transdermal delivery.
