Dr Judit Kimpian is an architect and environmental designexpert, lead author of the book Energy|People|Buildings - Making SustainableArchitecture Work (RIBA Publishing 2021). She chairs the SustainableArchitecture Group at the Architects’ Council of Europe’s (ACE), where she works with the representatives of ACE’s 46member organisations to transform EU policies, directives, and standardsrelating to the built environment, to meet the climate challenge through highquality architecture. With over 20 years in architecturalpractice and research Judit’s work focuses on innovative design and policymeasures that achieve tangible improvements to the quality and performance ofthe built environment. She teaches net zero architecture, policy and planningat UCL, and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on why feedback in policy, design, andconstruction is crucial to accelerate the transition to a net zero circulareconomy.
