Biography

Jonas Le Thierry d’Ennequin is an ESRC funded PhD candidate at University College London. His research explores the relationship between discourse and the material conditions of cities. More specifically, his focus evolves around a reformulation of the policy discourse of basic infrastructure systems that continues to materialise the spatial inequalities and colonial legacies in African cities today. Next to his PhD, Jonas works as the Communications Lead and aConsultant at UrbanEmerge, an urban development consultancy working towards inclusive, ecological, circular economies. He is also a Research Associate at the Pastoral andEnvironmental Network in the Horn of Africa (PENHA).
