I am an Honorary Associate Professor at Institute for Global Health UCL and a Senior Research Fellow in Infectious Diseases at Oxford University and a Lecturer in Probability and Statistics at The Queen's College, Oxford University.
My background is in mathematics having completed by undergraduate (BA), master (MMath) and doctoral (DPhil) studies in applied mathematics from Oxford University.
In my research I apply methods from mathematics and statistics to answer public health questions. My main research field is infectious diseases modelling with over nine years experience epidemiological modelling. Since early 2020 I have been actively modelling the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and its variants in the UK. I collaborate with the UK Heath Security Agency and the UK Department of Health and Social Care working across different projects.
At IGH, I lead the Modelling for Decision Science (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/global-health/study/masters/health-economics-modules/modelling-for-decision-science) module which is a part of the MSc in Health Economics and Decision Science.
