Dr. Jonathan Rokem is an Urban Planner and Political Geographer. He is currently Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Bartlett School of Architecture / Space Syntax Laboratory, University College London. 

Dr. Rokem formerly held a Bartlett Grand Challenges Visiting Research Fellowship at the Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU) and Bartlett School of Planning and a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Department of Human Geography, Lund University, Sweden. He completed his PhD at the Department of Politics and Government at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. He holds a Master's degree from the Department of Geography at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London, UK. 

He was also the Project Manager for the Advocacy Participation and NGOs in planning (APaNGO), EU funded project at the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA), London, UK.

Research Summary

Dr. Jonathan Rokem's research interests focuses on spatial, social and political critical analysis of cities, contested urbanism, political geography, comparative urbanism and community engagement in planning.
