I am a postdoctoral research fellow in psychiatric epidemiology based in the UCL MRC Unit for Lifelong Health and Ageing. I previously held a 2-year NIHR-UCLH BRC Postdoctoral Bridging Fellowship. I completed my 4-year MRC-funded PhD in psychiatric epidemiology at the UCL Division of Psychiatry in 2020. Prior to this, I obtained an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health with distinction (UCL, 2015), and a First Class Honours Degree in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh (2014).

My research is broadly focused on the epidemiology of dementia and mental health in older people. In my current post, I am investigating the longitudinal relationships between social health, cognition and dementia across multiple cohort studies as part of the Social Health and Reserve in the Dementia Patient Journey (SHARED) international consortium. In my PhD, I investigated the incidence of very late-onset psychotic disorders in Swedish register data, while during my postdoctoral fellowship I examined associations between psychiatric disorders and subsequent dementia risk.
I supervise MSc students and teach on the MSc in Mental Health Sciences (UCL Division of Psychiatry) for the Core Research Methods and Epidemiology modules.
