I am a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences, funded by the UCL Overseas Research Scholarship, Doctoral School Fellowship, and other grants. After double-majoring in biology and psychology as an undergraduate and working in the healthcare industry in the US and Hong Kong, I developed an interest in dementia research.
My research currently focuses on psychosocial interventions for people with dementia. For my PhD, I am developing and evaluating a virtual version of Individual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (iCST) for people with mild to moderate dementia in the UK and Hong Kong at the same time. Before the virtual iCST project, I developed an intervention for people with moderate to severe dementia, which was suspended due to COVID-19 restrictions. Prof. Aimee Spector, who co-developed the original Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), is my primary supervisor. Aside from telehealth, dementia, cultural adaptation, and psychosocial interventions, I am also interested in the neurobiology of dementia, public health, and mental health in general.
