Sa-Ra Zwarteveen is a film educator, who recently graduated from the MA Digital Media, Culture and Education at the UCL Institute of Education (IOE). She has worked for EYE Filmmuseum Amsterdam, the London-based social enterprise Iconic Steps, BFI Education, and as a tutor on the MA module Moving Image Production at the UCL IOE. Her Masters thesis centred around the Cinéma, Cent Ans de Jeunesse project, critical pedagogies and the experiences of young people as they engage in film-making projects. Her research interests relate to film education and learner empowerment.
