Biography
Mehrdad Mizani is a health data scientist at the Institute of Health Informatics working on the application of AI and machine learning for phenotyping and sub-typing, as well as survival analysis of COVID-19. Previously he was a Newton International Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences at The University of Edinburgh working on anonymisation in observational studies. Mehrdad holds a PhD and MSc in Medical Information and BSc in computer engineering . Mehrdad’s primary research areas include data science in epidemiology, quality assurance of health data science, privacy preserving machine learning, federalted learning, and cybersecurity.
