Dr Armstrong is a Senior Research Fellow interested in supporting people to manage their long-term health conditions, behaviour change, and reducing inequalities. After gaining her PhD, Megan joined UCL in 2015 and is an accredited i-act manager for positive mental health and wellbeing.

  • MSc in Research Methods from University of Hertfordshire (Distinction)
  • BSc (Hons) in Psychology from University of Hertfordshire (First Class Honours)

Research Summary

Dr Armstrong has worked across several projects including reducing discrimination towards disabled children, enabling health care and palliative care access for people experiencing homelessness, psycho-therapies and complementary therapies for people with palliative care needs, and self-management and behaviour change techniques for people with Parkinson's. 

Teaching Summary

Megan regularly tutors and supervises MSc students and is currently supervising two PhD students based at the Institute of Neurology. Megan teaches on several MSc courses including Population Health and Social Epidemiology.
