I have 10 years of international professional experience working in developing and humanitarian contexts for governments, UN agencies and international NGOs. I have specialised training in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) around topics of education, gender and youth empowerment. I concentrate on youth-led and participatory approaches to development, research and learning. 

I have lived and worked in Latin America, the Middle East, and East Africa, and completed consultancies for a number of international organisations including UNICEF, UNDP and Education Development Trust. I have an Advanced Diploma in Monitoring & Evaluation (NYU, 2017), a M.Phil. in Public Policy (Cambridge, 2016), and a BA in International Studies (Johns Hopkins, 2010).

Research Summary

My research is in the field of education, gender and international development. My dissertation seeks to explore and unpack the concept of youth agency and its relationship with gender and education in developing and crisis affected contexts.

My supervisors are Professor Elaine Unterhalter and Dr. Rosie Peppin Vaughan.
