Biography

I graduated from the Department of Psychology, Sapienza, University of Rome with a MSc in ‘Clinical Psychology’ and a BSc in Developmental Psychology. I received my PhD in ‘Clinical-Experimental Neuroscience and Psychiatry’ at the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, Sapienza, University of Rome. I was trained in the clinical, functional, neurocognitive, social cognitive, and neurological soft signs of young adults at risk mental state to develop severe mental illness. 
I have been based at the Department of Psychology & Human Development of the Institute of Education (IoE) since September 2017 where I am currently appointed as Research Fellow. I am the Early Career Researcher (ECR) on the project Building PACE (Physical Assessment of Children’s Environments).

Research Summary

My research interest is in clinically-oriented research fields related to children's and young adults’ mental health. I am particularly interested in the identification of biomarkers that are predictive of mental health disorders and cognitive deficits in children and adolescents.

Teaching Summary

I have been delivering teaching sessions to 2nd year medical students attending the Use of Evidence module in UCL medical school. I have additionally worked as a teaching assistant during my PhD, covering topics of developmental psychology and statistical methods and marking exams. I am currently the subsidiary supervisor of one PhD student, based at the Department of Psychology and Human Development.
