Diana is a Professor of Epidemiology and Paediatrician at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. She is a senior member of the Infections research theme and co-leads research programmes on respiratory infections and on syndromic infections.
Di specialises in HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis and infant morbidity in Africa. Over 30 years in this field she has initiated and run many networks of trials, cohort and implementation studies in infectious diseases in UK, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia (India, Vietnam and Thailand)
Di serves on several WHO advisory and guideline committees and continues to hold a licence to practice with the General Medical Council. In 2020 she was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, UK.
