Cassie is a researcher at UCL Institute of Education with an education background in intercultural communication, marketing, and business law. Her research interests lie primarily in the area of organizational dimensions in Higher Education and the mixed method.
Cassie has work experience in the marketing sector, from which she obtained her Associate of Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM) and the Certificate of Academic Standing (The Bar Standards Broad).
Cassie is the secretary of the Chinese Educational Research Association (CERA-UK). Cassie held a leadership role as Careers and Employabilities Lead at the School of Education, University of Bristol.


Cassie was the grant holder for two competitive projects at UCL: “Academic writing and publishing for international PGR students” and ‘Navigating your academic career as an international PGR student, particularly for female with (or will) have caring responsibilities’. She is also the advisory team member for the project East Aisa Student Experiences during the Covid-19, which is a partnership between the Students' Union, EDI, and the Anthropology department at UCL.
Cassie was involved in the project Covid-19 Response: Crisis management in research university at UCL Centre for Higher Education Studies in an international research group comprising UCL, Tohoku University, and Tsinghua University.
Cassie has been awarded the Fellowship HEA (FHEA) and has teaching experiences in various universities/levels on both quantitative and qualitative modules, including Quantitative Methods and Mathematical Thinking on BASc Arts and Science (Undergraduate) at UCL; The Dynamics of Global HE (MSc) & Understanding Educational Research (EdD) at the University of Bristol, and so on.
