Prof Morten Ravn profile picture

Morten O. Ravn is a Professor of Economics at UCL and is currently Head of Department. He is also Deputy Director of the ESRC Centre for Macroeconomics and Joint Managing Editor of the Economic Journal. He is a council member of the European Economic Association. He holds a cand.oecon (MSc in Economics) degree from the University of Aarhus and a PhD degree from the University of Southampton. Prior to joining UCL, Morten has held positions at the University of Southampton (1995-1997 and 2007-2009) European University Institute (2004-2008), London Business School (1999-2004), Universitat Pompeu Fabra (1997-1999) and at the University of Aarhus (1994-1995). His research has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Review of Economic Dynamics, Economic Journal and many others. He has been the supervisor of more than 25 PhD students.

Teaching Summary
Morten has over the last years taught PhD courses in macroeconomic theory, quantitative macroeconomics, and international macroeconomics and MSc courses in macroeconomic policy.
