Research Themes
Research Summary

I am an academic neuropathologist with a research interest in epilepsy. In 2013 we established an epilepsy brain and tissue bank to set up a research resource for local projects at UCL as well as international groups. This is funded by epilepsy society and the ERUK support the Corsellis Epilepsy Brain Collection. 

 I have a research interest in focal lesions underlying temporal lobe epilepsy, including hippocampal sclerosis, low grade glioneuronal tumours and focal cortical dysplasias and pathological basis for co-morbidities, including memory impairment. I am and ILAE task force member for diagnostics methods commission. 

We also have projects investigating pathomechanisms in sudden and unexpected death in epilepsy and neuropathology in central and brainstem autonomic regions. I am part of the the NIH funded Centres for SUDEP . 

Teaching Summary
I lecture on Euro CNS courses (basic an forensic). 
I am a tutor on ILAE International Epilepsy Summer schools.
