Naresh completed his masters degree in 2011 and taken up a job as a system engineer in IBM. In 2013, he undertook a research fellow position in Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati under Dr.Senthilkumar Sivaprakasam, Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering. After this brief stint, he registered for Ph.D. in investigating the development of process analyzers viz. Biocalorimetry, Dielectric spectroscopy, and Gas Analyzer for the monitoring and control of high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid (HA) production by Streptococcus zooepidemicus in January 2014. He has earned a good skillset in the development of novel control systems like cascade loop for heat compensation calorimeter in a LabVIEW-based platform. His investigation continued in identifying critical process parameters influencing the molecular weight and polydispersity of HA. He has also carried out a PID-based control strategy to regulate the specific growth rate of S. zooepidemicus to assess its influence over HA molecular weight. His research interests are Biochemical Engineering, Bioprocess Analytics and Process control. He sucessfully defended his doctoral thesis by July, 2020. Since November, 2020 he is associated with UCL as a postdoctoral research associate and working in ConBioChem project with Prof.Gary Lye.
He has been engaged in handling Biochemical Engineering theory and practical classes for undergraduate students of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India.
