Research Summary

I work as a statistician at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit as part of the STAMPEDE platform trials, where I support research into prognostics and genomics to improve prostate cancer care.

I am also involved in open research projects to help tackle antimicrobial resistance in healthcare through the reuse of electronic health records for research and quality improvement in hospitals. I created and currently maintain two open source software packages:

  • Ramses, a R library to help hospital use electronic health records to tackle antimicrobial resistance
  • snomedizer, an R library package to help researchers, doctors and healthcare analysts use the SNOMED CT clinical ontology.

Teaching Summary
