Research Themes


Research Summary
My research focuses on applications of data science to support public health and spans informatics, statistics, epidemiology, intervention design and evaluation. Research projects I have worked that have direct impact on real-world practice include:
- a fast estimator of weekly alcohol consumption
- interventions to help tackle antimicrobial resistance in healthcare
- Ramses, a software package to help hospital use electronic health records to tackle antimicrobial resistance
- snomedizer, a software package to help researchers and analysts use the SNOMED CT clinical ontology
