My research covers metaphysics, especially the nature of persons and selves, the philosophy of mind, especially perception, action and know-how, and the mind/body problem, and also the history of twentieth century Anglo-American philosophy.
Teaching Summary
My recent teaching has been; 1] a graduate class on the later Philosophy of Wittgenstein, 2] a seminar on the Empiricists, and 3] a seminar on the Philosophy of Mind. I supervise a number of research students, at the PhD level, MPhil level, and at the MA level.
