Before joining UCL PALS, I obtained a BSc in Neuropsychological Sciences and Techniques from the University of Turin, Italy, a MSc in Neuroscience and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation from the University of Padua, Italy, and a PhD in Psychology at Åbo Akademi University, Finland. I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Forensic Research Unit at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
My research mainly focuses on the factors and mechanisms that can increase risk of negative social outcomes, such as victimization and offending, as well as negative mental health outcomes across symptom diagnoses.
I teach part of the undergraduate course in Genes and Behaviour (PSYC0036; Module leader: Prof. Essi Viding), which provides students with an overview of behavioural genetics. I also tutor a group of undergraduate students.
