Biography

I work clinically as a principal clinical psychologist in CNWL NHS Foundation Trust with older people, their families and carers.

I am employed as a freelance consultant to Dementia UK providing clinical supervision to Admiral Nurses in the West Midlands.

I am clinical psychology co applicant on the MARQUE research Project with particular responsibilities for the development and implementation of an intervention to reduce agitation in people with dementia living in residential care. I am also employed to disseminate the START intervention through the training and supervision of others in the delivery of the intervention.

 

Research Summary

My research interests include the development and implementation of psychosocial interventions for family carers of people with dementia and psychosocial interventions to manage agitation in people with dementia living in care homes.

Teaching Summary
I teach on the doctoral clinical psychology courses in the North Thames region on working with older people and their families and working systemically.
