Biography

Pervinder is a senior postdoctoral scientist, who since completing her PhD training at Imperial College London, has led research projects at King's College London and Institut Pasteur in Paris. She is currently based at the UCL Institute of Immunity & Transplantation. Her research interests focus on understanding mechanisms of transplant rejection and inflammation in both clinical and experimental settings, with a view to develop cellular and small molecule therapeutic strategies for immune modulation. She has a broader interest in using intravital imaging techniques to understand the processes of innate and adaptive immune activation following immune challenge, such as infection and transplantation.

Pervinder's Research Activites & Interests:
Transplantation, Inflammation, Infection
Immune Tolerance & Regulation
Experimental Medicine
Biomedical & In-vivo Imaging
Clinical Research
Translational Research
Stem Cell Biology
Ocular Immunology

Research Summary

Research focus on identifying mechanisms of stem cell graft failure in experimental and pre-clinical settings of transplantation, with a specialist experimental approach of serial and long-term tracking of the alloimmune response, using multi-photon imaging techniques.
