Biography
I obtained my PhD degree in education from the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge in 2023. My doctoral research successfully developed a teacher professional development programme to support Chinese mathematics teachers' dialogic teaching with online interactive platforms. In this design-based research, I also explored technology-mediated dialogic pedagogy to promote pupils' equitable, active, critical and reflective engagement in classroom dialogue. In addition, I have diverse experiences working as a school teacher, an educational consultant and an early entrepreneur in the education sector.

Research Summary
As a previous mathematics teacher, my research interests mainly include STEM formal and informal learning, technology-enhanced pedagogy and teacher professional development. I am particularly interested in issues and innovative practices related to the integration of digital technology into STEM education. For example, I have explored the effects of using apps on primary-aged children's mathematical thinking and mathematics teachers' dialogic teaching approaches with online interactive platforms. I am good at using qualitative research approach and open to learning and employing any new and 'fit-for-purpose' research methods.
I am passionate about developing research-informed educational practices and making changes with practitioners and stakeholders. Design-based research approach has been successfully applied to designing educational interventions, such as a teacher professional development programme incorporating lesson study in China.
Currently, I am a team member in the international Making Spaces 2 research project which seeks to suppot equitable youth practice with informal makerspaces with practitioners.
Teaching Summary
I supervise undergraduate students in educational research methods and educational psychology. I am a teacher educator for in-service teacher professional development sessions concerning technology-integrated practice.
I worked as a teaching assistant for doctoral students' courses related to methodology in educational research.
